Criteria for Membership

  • To be eligible for membership, your organisation must meet the following criteria:

  • Have adopted a set of rules or a constitution.
  • Be run by a management committee or equivalent.
  • Apply your resources for the benefit of the community.
  • Not be run for profit.
  • Be voluntary, community or charity based.

CB PLUS membership is open to voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise organisations that meet our criteria. These organisations must have adopted rules or a constitution. They should be run by a management committee or equivalent and apply their resources for the community’s benefit.

Our membership is completely free. There are no fees or charges associated with becoming a member.

As a CB PLUS member, you get expert advice, resources, training, and funding opportunities. We represent members at all levels, assist with policy development and best practices. You’ll receive our monthly newsletter for local and national third-sector news. You can promote your activities through our website, events, and social media. Members have access to signposting, resources, and voting rights at our AGM.

Once we receive your completed application form, we aim to process it within five working days. We will then contact you to confirm your membership status.

Your CB PLUS membership does not expire or need to be renewed. However, we ask that you keep us informed of any changes to your organisation’s details or contact information.
