What is Brent Young People Thrive?
Brent Young People Thrive (BYPT) is a social movement which aims to work with children and young people and their families to challenge stigma around mental health by exploring issues related to mental and physical health.
BYPT is funded by Brent NHS Clinical Commissioning Group and is aimed at changing the perception and experience of mental health and emotional wellbeing for Brent children, young people and their families.

Who is Brent Young People Thrive designed for?
BYPT is for all children, young people and their parents, carers and responsible adults living and schooling in the borough of Brent. BYPT is also accessible to schools, statutory providers, GPs, education establishments, children centres, voluntary community organisations and commissioners.

Is Brent Young People Thrive related to Thrive LDN?
No. Brent Young People Thrive is based within Brent and is funded by Brent NHS Clinical Commissioning Group, with the aim of challenging the stigma around mental health and raising awareness. Thrive LDN is a city-wide movement, supported by the Mayor of London and the London Health Board, which aims to improve the mental health and wellbeing of all Londoners.

As a Champion, you can be at the heart of ending mental health stigma in Brent by changing people’s attitudes towards those with mental health problems. It’s an opportunity to build skills and experience in areas like public speaking, planning events and using social media. You’ll also get the opportunity to meet and campaign alongside like-minded people in your community.
This role will also allow you to tell the NHS how to make a difference to how services are provided thorugh the Brent Young People Thrive steering group.
