Disclosure and Barring Service

If your group or organisation works with children or vulnerable adults, it may be necessary for paid staff and volunteers to undergo Disclosure and Barring Service checks (formerly known as CRB checks). DBS checks are designed to help organisations from the public, private, and voluntary sectors make safer recruitment decisions by identifying candidates who may be unsuitable for certain work areas, especially those that may involve contact with children or other vulnerable members of society.

Next Steps to Completing Your DBS Check

To start the DBS process, please contact info@communitybarnet.org.uk | 020 8364 8400 to book an appointment.  You will be required to attend an online meeting; we will organise this to complete our check and authenticate your documents; this will usually take about ten minutes.
