We are delivering wellbeing webinars through Zoom during the Covid-19 pandemic for anyone who is aged 16-25 and who studies, works or resides in Hillingdon.

The webinars are split into two:

  1. For anyone who is aged 16-25 who studies, works or resides in Hillingdon OR
  2. For Brunel University students only

We aim to tackle the causes of poor mental health before they get more serious through a series of webinars on common mental health problems. We will be helping young people to get a better understanding of various mental health problems, and how they can cope with issues they may face. All our webinars are delivered using Zoom. 

 

Online webinars

  • Online 60 minute interactive webinars delivered by a trained Therapist
  • Accessed by your smartphone, tablet or laptop in the comfort of your own space
  • Completely anonymous – you can see and interact with the Therapist but no one else can see you

Referrals

  • Young person - If you are a young person aged 16-25 years old you can self-refer and register yourself onto our wellbeing webinars.
  • Professionals, who work with young people or parent/carers can also refer young people who they think will benefit from using our service.

Zoe Kattah, Qualified Therapist  

Zoe is an Emotional Wellbeing Practitioner who qualified in 2016 with the Children & Young People Improving Access to Pschological Therapies (CYP IAPT) evidence based practice. She currently delivers the wellbeing webinars for children and young people in Hillingdon. Zoe has been working with children and young people and their families since 2012.

Trusha Patel, Engagement Officer

Trusha is an Engagement Officer within CommUNITY Barnet and is currently supporting Hillingdon Young People Thrive with its community engagement activities.

 

We are a digital service that has been commissioned by Hillingdon NHS Clinical Commissioning Group to deliver wellbeing webinars to young people aged 16-25 years old who live, school or work in Hillingdon. All our webinars are delivered online using Zoom by a qualified therapist and a moderator.

The 16-25 wellbeing webinar service is a 6 month Covid-19 response wellbeing service for Hillingdon young people aged 16 to 25 year olds. The webinars will be delivered between July 2020 and November 2020.

 

Who is the service for?

This service offers 60 minute webinars to young people aged 16-25 years in Hillingdon schools, colleges and the wider population who could benefit from mental health awareness and strategies to build their mental and emotional resilience. 

 

What will the webinars cover

The webinars will offer therapy topics which will include evidence-based psychoeducation on:

  • Anxiety 
  • Coping with loss (bereavement)
  • Low mood
  • Mental health awareness
  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Selfcare

 

What will young people gain

We aim to equip young people, supported by their families and carers, with coping strategies and resources they need to build their resilience to cope through these challenging times.

Registering for the Webinar 

To make sure you get the right help we ask that you complete the 'Your details' form  and 2 questionnaires. The questions are about your general health and wellbeing and are completely confidential.

We are required to collect this information as part of the NHS Digital’s legal responsibility to collect information about service users to make sure services meet your health and social care needs. More details can be found here.

Please allow 15 minutes to complete the questionnaires and you may benefit from doing this is in a quiet space if one is available to you.

Covid-19 Bereavement Support and Counselling Service 

   


Barnet Covid-19 Bereavement and Counselling Service has been commissioned by Barnet Public Health to offer a six-month bereavement and counselling service to Barnet residents who have been bereaved. The service will be jointly delivered by CommUNITY Barnet and Mind in Barnet although each organisation will fulfil specific roles.


If you live, work or study in Barnet and you're struggling with bereavement, give us a call. We are here to listen. We understand the various challenges of bereavement and are here to support you.

Our phone lines are open 10am - 2pm Monday to Friday.

  • We will offer you immediate emotional support and then sessions of bereavement counselling.
  • We will provide you with relevant information, support & signpost you to services that assist with arranging death certificates, accessing funeral services, legal advice, financial support or housing where appropriate.
