Webinars are 60 minute interactive sessions, delivered by a trained therapist and accessed by your smartphone, tablet or laptop in the comfort of your own space. They are completely anonymous - you can see and interact with the therapist but no one else can see you. On offer to help you learn strategies and tools to build your resilience during this unprecedented time are the topics: coping with social isolation, dealing with procrastination, managing stress, and worry management.

To make sure you get the right help we ask that you complete the 'Your details' form and 2 questionnaires. The questions are about your general health and wellbeing and are completely confidential. Please allow 15 minutes to complete the questionnaires and you may benefit from doing this is in a quiet space if one is available to you.

Engagement and Project Worker

 

Sadie is the Engagement and Project worker for two Big Local areas; Wembley Central Big Local and W12Together. She has been with Community Barnet since 2019. The thing she loves most about her job is her supportive colleagues and the diversity of her role where she gets to meet lots of residents and organisations that are driving positive change in their communities.

Project Manager

 

Helen is the Project Manager for W12Together Big Local, a resident-led partnership in White City that brings together all the local people, groups and organisations who want to make their area an even better place to live. Helen has worked in a number of community development and engagement roles across London and what she loves most about her job is supporting and empowering people to amplify their voice and drive growth and change in their community.

Engagement and Admin Officer

 

Faizah joined CommUNITY Barnet in September 2019. She has a background working in various support settings including an FE college, women’s centre, supporting vulnerable families and a day centre for those living with mental health and long term health concerns. Faizah is passionate about working with diverse communities with the aim to treat everyone as an individual, and understand their particular need to establish the best outcome. Faizah's current role involves admin and representing CommUNITY Barnet at engagement events. She has also used her supportive experience during the Covid pandemic, supporting Barnet residents with food essentials and medication. In addition, she has been part of the bereavement service for those who have lost loved ones during the pandemic.

Comms and Marketing Officer

Laura started working at Community Barnet in September 2019 after graduating from the University of Birmingham with an English Literature degree. She harnesses these communication skills within her job, where she creates printed and electronic copy including designing and writing annual reports, posters, flyers, logos, presentations and social media graphics & posts. She uses a plethora of different programmes including MailChimp, Adobe Suites & Canva. Laura writes press releases and newspaper articles, works across 4 websites, oversees 23 social media platforms and produces a monthly newsletter. She is passionate about equal representation and women's rights.

CommUNITY Barnet

Contract Finance Manager (maternity leave cover)

 

Sandra is a highly experienced, ACCA qualified senior finance manager and has worked extensively for some respected and well known not for profit / membership organisations in the UK. She has over 18 years financial management experience . She has knowledge of the latest technology including working with CRM databases and the following accounting packages Microsoft Dynamics Navision, Xero and Pegasus. She has excellent knowledge and experience of accounting for restrictive and designated funds based on the SORP. She has experience of working with finance teams to produce management accounts (inclusive of forecasts) and presenting these accounts to senior management team. In addition, Sandra has also carried out organisation-wide budget setting and long term forecasting in conjunction with operational managers. Sandra firmly believes that finance is a key part of any organisation and engaging other stakeholders to maintain good working relationships is essential. Working with varying stakeholders in order to improve processes and efficiencies to achieve the strategic objectives is something she enjoys and thrives in. She leads by example and is a dedicated professional.

Healthwatch Brent

Healthwatch Brent Manager

 

Veronica is the Manager of Healthwatch Brent and joined the team in 2020. She is passionate about health equity for all and the ensuring the experiences of the community – particularly those from marginalised populations, are heard and acted upon. As Manager, she is responsible for liaising and building upon relationships with strategic partners and stakeholders, management of the of Healthwatch Brent team and, acts as the Healthwatch representative on various local boards.

Barnet Wellbeing Service

Health and Social Care Senior Manager 

 

Rory manages the Barnet Befriending service and the work of the Primary Care Group. As well as supporting the development of the Barnet Wellbeing Service and Social Prescribing in the borough, he represents CommUNITY Barnet on a number of boards and committees related to health and wellbeing in North Central London. He works closely with community organisations and statutory services to improve health and social care in Barnet and beyond. He has previously worked at national charities coordinating services and managing volunteers in London and throughout the UK. He is passionate about volunteering, and away from CommUNITY Barnet he volunteers with a number of homelessness charities and an international development charity working in Sierra Leone. Rory loves meeting and working with passionate volunteers and residents throughout London who want to make a difference to people’s lives. He finds working to improve and develop local services is an exciting challenge.

Office Manager

 

Sian's background is within finance and administration, and she holds a degree in Psychology. She started working for Community Barnet on a short-term contract in 2010, then returned to work for us in 2016. Sian is responsible for providing support to the wider organisation. Some of her duties include HR administration, project admin support, staff/volunteer recruitment, event and training support, and DBS checking. The thing Sian loves the most about her job is her colleagues.
