Are you registered to vote on 3 May?

The Local Government Elections will be held on Thursday 3 May 2018. All 63 seats across all 21 council wards in the borough are up for election, electing 63 Councillors. To vote you must be on the Electoral Register. To be eligible to vote in the Local Elections, residents must be 18 or over, be British, Irish or a Commonwealth or European Union citizen.

Recently, each household in Barnet received a ‘Household Notification Letter’ which listed everyone that is registered to vote at that address. If you are listed on the Household Notification Letter, you don’t need to do anything. However, if you are not registered you will need to apply to register online by visiting www.gov.uk/register-to-vote. You must apply before 17 April 2018, midnight.

If you registered to vote in June 2017, and you have not moved to a new house, you do not need to re-register.

Don’t forget, even if you are registered to pay council tax, you are not automatically registered to vote. If you have recently moved to a new house, you will need to re-register.

Download the flyer.
