Covid-19 Bereavement Support and Counselling Service

Barnet Covid-19 Bereavement and Counselling Service has been commissioned by Barnet Public Health to offer a six-month bereavement and counselling service to Barnet residents who have been bereaved. The service will be jointly delivered by CommUNITY Barnet and Mind in Barnet although each organisation will fulfil specific roles.

If you live, work or study in Barnet and you're struggling with bereavement, give us a call. We are here to listen. We understand the various challenges of bereavement and are here to support you.

Our phone lines are open 10am - 2pm Monday to Friday.

  • We will offer you immediate emotional support and then sessions of bereavement counselling.
  • We will provide you with relevant information, support & signpost you to services that assist with arranging death certificates, accessing funeral services, legal advice, financial support or housing where appropriate.
  • We will give you other practical support around bereavement, such as shopping, prescription pick-up or befriending.
  • We can refer you to more specialist mental health support as necessary.
