Our aim is to deliver a Kickstart gateway service that helps small businesses grow and develop staff, whilst creating lasting opportunities for young people.
The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to employers to create new 6-month job placements for young people aged between 16 and 24 who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment. This is part of the government’s Plan for Jobs and aims to create hundreds and thousands of new, fully funded jobs across England, Scotland, and Wales. The first placements are likely to be available from November 2020.
Funding will cover for each job placement:

Extra funding of £1,500 per placement will be provided to support young people to build their experience and help them move into sustained employment after they have completed their Kickstart Scheme funded job. It is expected that this money will be paid at the beginning of the Kickstart Placement. The funding can also be used to support the administration of the role. We can help you with training and administration and payroll. Please note this is a chargeable service.
The grant for wages will be paid in arrears every month. It is expected that the first payment will be made between weeks 6 and 8 of the placement.
