Barnet Wellbeing Service

The Barnet Wellbeing Service is a service providing a flexible, person-centred approach focusing on your individual needs and wellbeing. It is the single referral pathway for you to access services to improve your wellbeing.

We are developing a collaborative approach through a number of voluntary organisations to ease access to services. There are many different services throughout the borough and the Barnet Wellbeing Service aims to make it easier for you to access a number of different services and, in some instances, at the same time. We aim to support your wellbeing through listening and understanding what you want, tailoring the services that we introduce to you to meet your needs.

What does the Barnet Wellbeing Service offer?

The Barnet Wellbeing Service offers three major services for the community, which are the Barnet Wellbeing Hub, the Online Wellbeing Programme and clinical support delivered by Barnet Enfield and Haringey Mental Health Trust.

The Barnet Wellbeing Hub

The Barnet Wellbeing Hub, located at the Meritage Centre in Hendon, is delivered through multisector collaboration and provides talking therapies, information and advice, advocacy and assistance with connecting with the community (local groups, arts and crafts, social clubs etc).  Upon contacting the Barnet Wellbeing Hub, you will be greeted by a member of the Wellbeing Team. The Barnet Wellbeing Hub aims to create a warm, welcoming space for you to learn more, access services, participate in activities that interest you and find out what's available to you in the community.

The team is comprised of Wellbeing Navigators that are there to understand your needs, support you and encourage you to improve your wellbeing. They will do this by offering you an Emotional Health Check (EHC). Similar to a physical check you may have with your GP, this is an emotional "M.O.T." that, working with your navigator, helps you to identify services and activities that can benefit you.

The Online Wellbeing Programme

The Online Wellbeing Programme is a ground-breaking free programme which provides online webinars over a six-week period, which are delivered by a qualified clinician and aimed at helping you deal with issues such as stress and anxiety.

Funded by the Barnet Clinical Commissioning Group, the Online Wellbeing Programme has six courses which are delivered throughout the year:

It is a free service for adults over 18 living, working or studying in Barnet and is accessible from your smartphone, laptop or tablet. Participants are anonymous and you do not have to ask questions during the webinar, but can listen to what the clinician is saying in response to others. Webinars are held in six-week blocks, with evening sessions occurring once per week. If you’re busy on the evening of the webinar, you can still register and watch the recording at another time convenient for you.
