CommUNITY Barnet has been awarded £150,000 to run a grant scheme for Barnet. The funding comes from The National Lottery Community Fund and will be for organisations, who as a result of the Covid-19 crisis, support people who experience disproportionate challenge; who provide services and support for vulnerable people; and which connect and support communities to work together.
CommUNITY Barnet will work alongside Barnet Giving and independently recruited community representatives to deliver the programme.

We will be running two online workshops and you can also call us to find out more about the grant scheme. See section 'Online workshops and further information' below.
The scheme will award grants to charitable and community groups and not-for-profit organisations within the London Borough of Barnet. All projects should benefit Barnet residents.
Covid-19 has had a huge impact on smaller community groups. This grant scheme is for groups that had an income of less than £500,000 in the last year.

The awards will be decided by an independent Grants Panel. This will be Trustees from CommUNITY Barnet, Barnet Giving and representatives from Barnet’s local communities.
