We will be accepting internal donations from Barnet House in Committee Room 3. If you are not based in Barnet House and would like to donate, you can drop any donation to reception at Barnet House, 1255 High Rd, London N20 0EJ.
If you would like to help but can not make it to Barnet House on the day, please have at look at alternative ways to help below, including a Just Giving link.
Thank you for your support.
Homeless Action in Barnet's aim is to bring about positive change in the lives of people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and help them plan for and realise a better future. Homeless Action in Barnet do this by providing advice to help people find accommodation and to access sources of help and support. This could be helping people to gain benefits that they are entitled to; or it could be helping people access education or training – or help them to secure employment.
For this year's Harvest Festival, many things have been requested by Homeless Action in Barnet to distribute to the homeless community, including:
Food - Coffee, sugar, ready made custard, rice pudding, jams/spreads, tinned soup, tinned fruit cocktail, tinned potatoes, tinned vegetables, tinned corned beef, ketchup, mayo, pickles i.e. Branston, cuppa soups, pot noodles, olive oil, gravy granules, pasta sauces, cooking sauces.
Hygiene - Shampoo, shower gel. shaving foam, razors, hand cream face cream, after shave balm, washing up liquid, toilet rolls, washing powder.
New clothes - Mens’ socks, mens' underwear, boxer shorts.
Bloody Good Period aims to provide sanitary protection for those who can't afford to buy them, with many living in poverty resort to using toilet paper, old scraps of fabric or nothing at all. Bloody Good Period aims to take the financial burden out of the most annoying time of the month by providing supplies to those who need them, and supplies 15 asylum seeker drop in centres based in London and Leeds.
Because of this, we are also welcoming all donations of tampons, pads and other female sanitary products, which will all be donated to Bloody Good Period for distribution among those who need it most.
